Luxury Destination Wedding Spots for 2019

Gone are the days of huge weddings with hundreds of guests. In today’s experiential landscape, couples are seeking more intimate weddings in uncharted territories that create unique memories with their closest friends and families.

From swimming with sharks and stingrays in the crystal blue waters of Bora Bora right outside your over water bungalow; to canoeing to a private white-sand motu where you’re greeted with champagne and a French-Polynesian drum ceremony before your personalised dinner under the Tahitian sky!

Bora Bora by – Ishan

Or perhaps you prefer an exclusive tour of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, one of the world’s largest mosques with 82 white domes, precious white marble floors, and chandeliers with over 40 million Swarovski crystals; followed by a safari tour in the world’s largest sand desert, where you are led on camel back to a glamorous Middle Eastern-style tented site where you can relax in a romantic spa with Moroccan hammocks and desert rose rituals.

ABU DHABI – Juliana

Recognising this desire for unparalleled experiences, LLG Events rooted itself in the world’s most luxurious destinations to design, manage and execute once-in-a-lifetime events for clients from all over the world.

“It’s not about getting there, it’s about enjoying the process. We make the event experience less typical and entirely personal by incorporating your interests and mindset beyond geography and demographic. It’s authentic, ethical, eccentric…it’s you. Attain the new standard of luxury, where your event is complete with exclusive experiences that tie emotional fulfilment with unforgettable moments that last a lifetime,” said Teal Nicholson, creative director of LLG Events.

ABU DHABI – Cal Engel

With this expertise, LLG Events is unveiling the top 2019 wedding destinations of grandeur across the globe.  Bride Icon received the details on LLG Events’ partnerships with 5-star venues, resorts, and tourism boards in each of these destinations.

1. Dubai—The United Arab Emirates plans to make Dubai the top tourist destination in the world by 2025. “Last year, I had a sense that the invitation-only Destination Wedding Planners Congress would select Dubai as the location for their 2019 conference, and I was right! My guess earned us the first invitation to Atlantis, The Palm for this year’s business-to-business platform that brings together over 70 countries represented by their luxury event industry vendors who cater to celebrity and royalty,” said Lauren Grech, CEO and co-founder of LLG Events.

DUBAI – Lucy M

The influx of wedding vendors for this elite conference alone will form partnerships with venues and vendors of the region. Known for splendorous shopping, ultra-modern architecture, and a lively nightlife scene, Dubai is on the rise for attracting engaged couples.

DUBAI – David Rodrigo

Couples can choose to become part of the preferred clique in Dubai’s shopping district and have the groom don a pair of tailored shoes from their in-house cobbler offering a formal shoe customisation service…or they can choose to have their wedding reception on a yacht sailing through the Arabian Gulf with a full crew catering to them as they watch the sun set over the Dubai skyline.

2. New York City— is where people go to achieve their dreams; so when planning a dream wedding, it will always be at the top of the list for prosperous destinations.

New York City – Fezbot2000

“We have clients coming to New York City from all over the world choosing it to be the destination of their nuptials because it’s the melting pot of cultures where everyone is comfortable coming together, and that’s the most important part of a wedding day,” said Teal Nicholson.

“The best event designs are an expression of who you are and who you’re meant to be. Marrying in New York City allows couples to share their backgrounds, their values, their interests, and their love with components that transcend across generations.”

Additionally, the options for venues are endless, so couples can choose one, or even multiple, that are a true reflection of what they want their wedding day to be…whether that’s a hotel with outstanding views of Central Park, cocktails served exclusively in Baccarat crystal, or royal residences with Louis XIV-style.

New York City – Mohit Singh

3. India“Celebrities always set trends, so with the recent weddings of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja, we know that others will start to flock to India for their own interpretations of a celebrity-inspired wedding,” says Lauren Grech.

India – Pablo Heimplatz

Premier publications are highlighting these extravagant, lavish weddings that extend over multiple days. This publicity provides all the necessary information on how to plan a destination wedding across the country, whether couples want to marry on a 32-acre oasis with manicured lawns and landscaped gardens; or if they want a property that boasts views of the iconic Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

India – Raghu Nayyar

4. Bora Bora—Named the top-trending destination for millennial travel in 2019, LLG Events is enhancing the mindset of Bora Bora from a honeymoon destination to a wedding spot that serves beyond elopements to larger groups of friends and family, with bucket-list activities taking over the itinerary.

BORA BORA – Shifaaz-Shamoon

“We recognise that couples are seeking a more exclusive wedding day experience,” says Lauren Grech, CEO and founder of LLG Events. “So we sought out a destination that’s exotic, that was not affected by Zika virus, and that could be affordable for those that were already willing to spend on a large at-home wedding. This led us to our partnership with the Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora.”

With a private suite experience that makes travelling to the Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora a breeze, and an endless choice of tours and pursuits upon arrival, couples are sure to start tying the knot in this picturesque location.

5. Abu Dhabi is more accessible than ever with an extensive list of new hotels opening. With flights from most major cities, couples can be put at ease when considering the travel experience for their guests with small children or elderly family members. It also often ranks as one of the safest cities in the world.

ABU DHABI – Martin Adams

With all of the large investments being made in the Middle East, the Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau sponsored LLG Events to evaluate 21 of their newest luxury resorts and their accompanying experiences. This push to align with white-glove service proves the significance of the region’s goals of becoming a luxury wedding destination.

ABU DHABI – Zosia Korcz

They are promoting their varied cuisine, culture and time-honoured traditions, with one hotel having 14 restaurants within it, satisfying any indulgence couples may have on a gold platter; and the Women’s Handicraft Centre allowing couples to source local embroidery, weaving and other creative arts for wedding decor or favors.

2019 Wedding Stationery Trends by Lisa Forde, Tree of Hearts

Tree of Hearts
Tree of Hearts – Pink Country Flowers Collection

2019 is sure to be an incredible year in the world of wedding stationery; we can expect to see beautiful styling reflected throughout a wide range of pieces. Here are just some of the trends set to inspire unforgettable 2019 wedding stationery.

Simple and Sophisticated

Simplicity is key for 2019, with many of our lovely customers opting for minimalist yet sophisticated designs. Many of these are predominantly white, showing that white weddings are as popular as ever. This is partly thanks to people taking inspiration from the royal weddings of 2018, but it’s also due to the rise of small, intimate weddings.

Many couples are choosing nature-inspired designs, with botanicals remaining a strong theme for 2019. Wedding stationery adorned with roses is a popular choice. However, lots of people are also choosing sunflowers, pairing it with rustic styling – a very widespread theme for the last few years. Foliage is gradually overtaking flowers, with more designs than ever featuring plants, particularly the on-trend eucalyptus.

Tree of Hearts – Je t’aime Pocketfold Wedding Invitation & RSVP

Lots of 2019 couples are choosing regal designs – royal wedding fever isn’t dying out anytime soon. Designs with fancy swirls against neutral backgrounds are preferred by many – it’s a classic, timeless look. Likewise, elaborate fonts are also becoming more popular.

Colours are set to be a massive trend for 2019 weddings, and we can expect to see this through the stationery that people are choosing. The trend of blush pink is dying down, and many are choosing much brighter shades, taking inspiration from the 70s with shades of red, orange, and yellow. Likewise, the ‘Jewel Tones’ colour scheme is also rising in popularity, with many people choosing stationery in colours including shades of purple, pink, and green.

We are also seeing singular shades trending, including burgundy, and Pantone’s Colour of the Year, ‘Living Coral’.  These shades are perfect if you’re looking for something a little bit more eye-catching for your stationery.

Destination Wedding

Why Do They Call It A “Destination Wedding” And Not A “Marriage”?

Celebrate the difference between a wedding and a marriage!

Destination Wedding

You are engaged! Congratulations!  You want to get married in your dream destination overseas, so why does your wedding planner insist on calling it a wedding ceremony and not a marriage? Well they are not being picky, a wedding and a marriage are actually two different things!

Destination Wedding

A marriage is a legal contract

A marriage is a legal contract, historically, it was a record that could be used to prove amongst other things, legitimacy and inheritance. Nowadays, many couples are not religious or are of mixed religions so contracting their marriage by the minister of one particular faith is not an option.  In this instance, they may turn to a registrar to marry them.  The registrar will usually also offer a non-religious wedding ceremony but this may fall far short of the ceremony of your dreams, and most certainly will not be on a palm tree lined Mediterranean or Caribbean beach!  So what are your options?  Interestingly in some countries, including Scotland, Humanism is recognised as a faith and so a Humanist wedding ceremony is also recognised as legal marriage and can include personalised vows and rituals. But for many newly engaged couples the prospect of a romantic wedding ceremony in warm sunshine, on white sand or surrounded by olive groves is far more appealing.

Destination Wedding

The wedding ceremony is where the memories are made

These days, it is becoming more common to go through the quick legalities of registering your marriage in your own country then concentrating on creating the wedding ceremony of your dreams, at your dream destination, with an independent celebrant who will weave into your unique ceremony, your values, your love story, your own vows and whatever rituals are important to you. Without question, the wedding ceremony is where the memories are made!

Destination Wedding

Have your wedding cake and eat it!

So yes, you can have your wedding cake and eat it too!  You can combine a legal marriage in your own country, then pull out the stops and have that full-blown destination wedding with an awesome, totally personalised celebrant-led wedding ceremony with hand-fasting, heartfelt vows and amazing romantic  photos of you walking into the sunset.  So really, there is a difference between a marriage and a wedding and if I were you, I would take full advantage and totally celebrate and take advantage of the difference!

Scarlet Events

Marc Ahmed, Director of Scarlet Events, Talks To Bride Icon On Planning Luxury Events & Partying with Lionel Richie!

Scarlet Events

In today’s world of opulence and dreams, luxury wedding planners are a vital component of what may become the most defining moment of one’s life. With social media taking on the realms of showcasing the most extravagant settings for weddings and parties, wedding planners are promising an array of entertainment and sumptuous enticement, to bring our visions of indulgence alive.  To gain a real insight on what its’ like to plan and create a unique luxury wedding, Bride Icon spoke exclusively to the Director of Scarlet Events, Marc Ahmed to find out what made him take on the reins of the luxury events world – and why he wants to party with Lionel Richie!

Scarlet EventsMarc, thank you for speaking with Bride Icon.  Tell us what made you decide to get involved in the wedding and party planning industry?

It actually happened by chance about 8 years ago. I was always in the events industry and started out as a photographer. So, when my sister was getting married, I was planning her wedding, and bumped into an old friend who was a planner in the wedding industry. We seemed to have hit it off instantly and decided to set something up together – a new venture into new grounds. It was a time I thought there was a gap in the market and thought I could do a really good job with it – so that is how it started off – and the business has been growing and growing ever since!

Scarlet EventsHow do you begin planning for an event, and how much influence do you have in terms of having a fine line between the balance of what the client wants, and what Scarlet Events can create?

Client’s sign up with us because they love what we do, and they buy into our ideas or they have a vision for the event, and think we will be the best fit to bring that vision to life. We are not the right choice for every client, nor are some clients the right choice for us, which is why we hand pick our clients and only organise a small number of events per year. Therefore, there are only a handful of clients we can take on – and those are the ones who really want to work with us, they love our style, our designs and understand what they are investing in with us.  When it comes to parties, many of our clients leave the design completely to us, and let us come up with the concepts and ideas. Whereas some clients, will come to us with their own ideas and it is our job to translate them and bring them to life, whilst exceeding their expectations!

Scarlet Events
With weddings, it’s a little different, due to the social media influence now, and especially how Instagram has just exploded in the last few years, brides will come to us already knowing what they want.  For example, recently brides have been opting for heavy florals, very light in colour, and a warm ambience with lots of candle light. However, at the same time, we will make it a little different. We don’t want our work to look exactly like what the client has just seen on social media, we want it to be unique to the client and to represent the couple, so it is important for us to tailor it to them.

Scarlet EventsHow does Scarlet Events bring something new, instinctive and unique to events, and how do you keep the ideas fresh and in tune with your client’s aspiration – do you follow trends?

We don’t really follow trends – actually we go the opposite direction of what everybody is doing. We don’t want to be the same as everyone else. Lets’ say for example, chair covers – nobody wants them any more – but I can guarantee that soon they will be back and we’ll probably be the first ones to use them! Therefore, when somebody goes in one direction we go in the other and that is what differentiates us.  We don’t want to copy, we want to be unique and different and create some kind of a twist, as client’s personalities and tastes are primary in representing the couple.

Scarlet Events

Scarlet Events

Some agencies are set in their ways, and offer exactly the same thing to every client, but we are very much bespoke in our approach. We tailor the event towards the clients from the beginning, and they have a lot of input in terms of what they like and dislike – so by the time we get to the end – they are completely satisfied. With Scarlet, keeping our clientele happy is paramount – so even if a month before, our client decides to suddenly change the entire design of the wedding – it won’t be easy – but they have the absolute right to do that, and we will make it happen! We are here to look after their every need 24/7 or 365 days of the year.

Scarlet Events

Could you tell us what was the most extravagant party or theme Scarlet Events have created so far?

We just did a huge party in Florence, Italy. The clients were from the US and after watching the Royal Wedding they decided that they wanted a Royal affair! So, we flew out over 100 staff and entertainers from the UK to Italy, and we had everybody from a Queen Elizabeth lookalike to Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge, the Royal Guards and trumpeters – it really was a full-blown Royal extravaganza! The theme most certainly would not be something for British couples, but the Americans loved it!

It all took place at the client’s villa which was under complete renovation and proved to be a massive logistical challenge, as we were creating a million-pound party on essentially what was a construction site. We built a huge marquee on top of the client’s swimming pool, which was no easy feat before turning her Orangery (which was an empty shell and falling apart) into Buckingham Palace. All whilst having to deal with the site constantly changing every time we went there, as construction work didn’t stop for the party! Having less than two months to organise everything and in the middle of summer, it was one of the most challenging events we have ever done!

Scarlet Events Marc, is there a defining moment in your career that you felt especially proud of?

I would probably have to say the defining moment would be last year when we flew in Lionel Ritchie to perform at a client’s party. We have a small list of legendary stars that we have always wanted to have at our events, and he was one of them. Lionel was booked at very short notice and we flew him in on a private jet from an Awards ceremony in L.A. just to perform at the party – and then he flew straight back – that was an incredible moment for us! The client had originally booked Enrique Iglesias to perform, but he couldn’t because his concerts were cancelled and re-booked due to the hurricanes in Florida last year, so he had to pull out at the last minute. We suddenly found ourselves having to find a last-minute replacement and Lionel, being the gentleman that he is, said he was more than happy to do it!

Scarlet Events

Scarlet EventsThere are so many planners to choose from now.  How does Scarlet Events set its standards and visions apart from the others?

It’s about the level of service from start to finish, and not having that ego that can be found these days with some of the big wedding planners. Humility is the most important virtue that you can have – as your clients are the reason why you survive in the business, and why you live for the business. You can never ever make your clients unhappy, not even 1%. People say that you must be strict with your clients and tell them where the limit is and that you ‘can’t do this’ or ‘this is not a good idea’ or ‘it’s too short notice’ – I completely disagree.

Scarlet Events

We will always accommodate a client’s request, no matter how insane the idea! Even if we have to do it differently to make it work, we will make it happen. For us, service and the client experience are what sets us apart, it’s exceptionally important and we will never say no to our clients – that is the expectation here at Scarlet and with my team of suppliers – I will never work with anyone that says ‘no’.  If our clients want us to meet them on a Sunday morning, we will go to them – if we must travel to another country to meet our clients – that is no problem at all. Our services also extends beyond the wedding, we are here 24/7 for our clients, and should they need anything non-event related such as a last-minute babysitter, or a restaurant booking then we open our private concierge service for them too.

Scarlet EventsMarc, if someone were to plan a party for you, what would be your ultimate venue and theme?

I know I would want it abroad – I have been to so many amazing locations that I honestly couldn’t choose – but I know I would want it to be kept very small.  When you have done pretty much everything, from private islands and luxury hotels to spectacular castles, it is hard to actually choose a venue! I would say it would be somewhere possibly in Europe with a stunning view. I would expect the party to be very timeless and elegant, something that is reminiscent of high fashion. Actually, something which I have always liked is a monochrome theme which I think doesn’t get much justice. So just having a purely black and white colour scheme for example, and maybe adding in a very small pop of colour – if done well – it could look amazing!

Scarlet Events
If there was one celebrity or famous client in the world that you would love to organise a party for – who would that person be?

Lionel Richie! I’ll tell you why… because he was an absolute gentleman and a lovely, lovely person. He went above and beyond than any other artist we have worked with before. He invited the client on to the stage, and made him sing along; he brought guests up onto the stage to dance with them, and took double the amount of time at the back to meet the client and their families. The whole time he was just so humble and such a lovely person, appreciating our clients and everything that we had done. We really love working with people such as him and I would love to work with him again but this time planning his party!

Scarlet Events

We would like to say a very special thank you to Marc Ahmed for taking the time to speak to Bride Icon.  For more information and details or if you like to contact Scarlet Events see their website here: www.scarletevents.com

How To Get Your Credit Ready for the Wedding and Big Day

Many Couples are faced with the problem of lack of money needed when it comes to their big day. The accessories for the bride, grooms suit to inviting a wedding photographer and videographer, order the car and pay the full registration of the actual marriage.

Many are ready to tackle the problem of money themselves.

In most cases, young’s earning is very little, of course there is, always some exceptions:  But, one way or another, for a beautiful wedding, you will need to wait a year or two, to be able to save money and then plan a wedding to really remember for the rest of your life! Waiting really long for the wedding is not always possible because of many reasons: Some can’t wait if they are not living together, others just want to get married and move on with their lives.

Woman Holding White and Pink Roses Bouquet

So if you truly ready to a tie-the-knot and feel like you are ready for marriage, but have little to no money and your money is not enough to organize your big day, lets take a look at two other options that are open to you.

Option number one is Traditional consumer credit, which you can spend on the wedding or something else.

Consumer loans are granted by many banks. Some of them will ask you to confirm the purpose of your use of their credits and others may not need it. Some banks, have a mandatory rule of surety; in this case most common interest rate for the use of the loan will be slightly lower.

Couple Standing Near Red Classic Monte Carlo

Most often the final percentage of consumer credit, which you will need to pay back to the bank, consists of several parts.

* The very interest rate – most often from 11% a year or more (depending on the size of the remaining interest, as described below).

* Percentage for the conduct of credit (loan account) – are zero, but most often is for consumer loans 1-1.3% in the month of the balance of the principal debt in months.

There is a one  offcommission that some banks will charge you. Most often this commission for the issuance of the loan – usually equal to about 1%, but sometimes the commission is missing. Some banks also pay consideration of applications for credit. There are also annual payments unrelated to the bank. Most often, the life insurance, work, etc. In the amount of 0.5-1% a year from the required loan amount, depending on your health status and age. Incidentally, if you have any health problems, the insurance company will send you to mandatory testing, to tell you the exact amount of insurance you will need to pay.

The term of a consumer loan often is for 1-3 years, while monthly payments would equal the entire period of credit.

Option number two is Special offers from banks at weddings.

adult, affection, beautiful

A small number of banks have special rates for newlyweds. If you decide to provide documents to prove your intention to marry, you can get a loan. Typically, these loans and the rates area a little lower and the period of the loan may be longer, and may allow for early payment immediately (Couples may choose to repay the loan from the money that are given by some guests).

But, once again I must specify that such programs, despite the fact that there have recently many banks still do not enjoy the same popularity and prevalence of conventional consumer loans.

The solo segment on Saturday 15th September by ‘Honee” will have both human and robotic models, bringing fashion and advanced technology together. Honee a creative visionary stated “I am thrilled to have the sponsorship of the Ohmni Lab, a tele-presence robotic company.  My show with the House of iKons this September is named “ÁI”, in reference to Artificial Intelligence and also the play on the Vietnamese word ÁI for love and the Chinese phonetic AI for love as well. We’re in the world of AI and loving it. I use fashion as the language to express the skins we are in.  In my upcoming show, it’s not about the future of robots, of a world unknown, but of the presence, the NOW and Ohmni Lab is ushering the world of NOW with their tele-presence robots. I’m honoured and super excited to be a part of the Ohmni lab journey.”

Psychedelic Realism

A Wedding Portrait With A Hint Of Hypnotic Realism

Throughout the centuries the world of art has transpired into many avenues of magnitude, patterns, silhouettes, colour and creativity – defining and expressing the intricate points of life and its’ entities.  Artists around the world have devised extravagant pieces that have set the subconscious alight with elaborated visions and mystic interpretations.  One such artist who has taken art into a whole new dimension is Mo Zaic Manchester – taking on a new vision – he has developed his own analysis and trademark with a theme based on psychedelic realism.

Mo’s inquisitiveness in creating art with a twist of psychedelic realism began many years ago, but a brutal twist of fate led him to becoming a victim of a serious car accident before he could thrive.  The artwork he believed in so passionately took a standstill while he faced the battles of recovery.  However, his intense knowledge and expertise in self development trained in Master Hypnosis, NLP and Energy Healing were the only reasons why Mo defied the doctors and made a full recovery.   The techniques that were applied are appreciated and recognised from the vast amount of customer feedback showcased on his website www.mozaicmanchesterbeats.com not forgetting his additional talents of being a vocalist and a hip hop music producer.

Throughout this journey, Mo maintains his stance on becoming the founder of ‘Hypnotic Psychedelia’ which he first discovered back in 1997 stemming as a hobby then into a career.  His interpretation of this revolutionary type of art endorses the activity of colour and psychedelic patterns, fused with realistic forms of people and nature – taking the observer to look towards an inner world – displaying an assortment of shining vibrancy formatted into a splendid cosmic repertoire.

Psychedelic Realism

A self inspired artist himself, Mo is now looking into broadening his horizons in the world of abstract/realism art by creating a set of unique styles within his portraits.  His collections have been exhibited in galleries with a selection of images featuring iconic artists on the international stages of music, sports and celebrities. His influences aspire from legends such as Picasso, Monet, Basquiat, Dali and Indian artists M.F Hussain, and Tayeb Mehta.

Middle Eastern Beauty – Azara Beautique

Homeopath and botanist, Dr Samira Zaidan is an expert on the health and beauty benefits of natural organic ingredients, with over 25 years of experience treating ailments.  Samira and her daughter Mona are Founders of the London-based start-up Azara Beautique, where through their links to the Middle East, they collect rare ingredients such as frankincense, zamzam and camel’s milk to use in their unique soap range. Regarded as offering the purest cosmetic range, blended with the refined jewels of the Arab world, Azara Beautique have exclusively featured a range of exotic soaps and have shared with us some of these traditions and beauty secrets here on Bride Icon!

Azara Beautique

For thousands of years Arabian mothers and female relatives have prepared their young brides for their wedding day by making remedies and cosmetic treatments for them from natural ingredients that are found locally. These remedies and treatments have been passed down from mother to daughter for generations and are considered to be wealthy beauty secrets.

  1. Sidr Honey: Pure and organic Yemeni sidr honey is one of the best treatments for your skin and hair, as it is full of anti-bacterial, healing and hydrating properties. Apply it to your hair as a conditioner before rinsing it out with warm water for soft and healthy hair and/or apply it to your skin to help reduce the appearance of fine lines, acne and other skin infections.
  2. Coffee: The caffeine in Arabic coffee is known to rejuvenate and stimulate the blood circulation and it can break through clogged pores giving the skin a deep and exfoliating cleanse. It is also a great treatment for cellulite, as it encourages blood flow if you massage it well into the affected areas, resulting in firmer looking skin.

  3. Neem: Neem has been used in the Middle East and India for thousands of years and is used extensively in many natural medicines for its disease fighting properties. Neem leaves are rich with vitamin E, oleic acid and anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-parasitic properties that are extremely beneficial in healing scars and treating various infections, such as eczema and psoriasis.
  4. Moringa: Moringa leaves are considered to be miracle leaves by the Indians and ancient Egyptians, due to their extremely high vitamin A, C, E and mineral content. Moringa helps to heal wounds and fights parasites, such as ring worm.
  5. Blackseeds: These seeds are obtained from the nigella sativa flowers and have been known as “the blessed seeds” for their healing properties for thousands of years by the Arabs. The Ancient Egyptians believed that this seed is the cure to all diseases, when eaten or ground and applied as a mask to the face, as they are rich in anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties, which helps the skin to heal from deep within.
    Azara Beautique
  6. Arabic gum: This resin from Sudan supports and stimulates the skin’s reproduction of collagen and elastin, rebuilding and repairing the skin and reducing the appearance of scars and damage caused by infections and irritation.
  7. Henna: This plant has been used across the Middle East, North Africa and India for generations to nourish the skin and scalp and give dull hair a gorgeous healthy shine and a rich deep brown/red colour. Henna has also been traditionally mixed with water and oils to form a paste that is applied to the hands and feet of brides by henna artists. The henna stains the skin to reveal beautifully decorated hands and feet.
  8. Frankincense: Green Hojari Omani frankincense is the finest grade of frankincense available. The transforming effects of frankincense on the skin are immediately visible, as it regenerates and promotes the production of new cells, and as a powerful astringent it tightens and firms the skin giving an immediate youthful lift.
    Azara Beautique
  9. Saffron: As an age-old staple of the Middle-Eastern royals’ beauty regime, it has earned its title of ‘red gold’. Saffron deeply nourishes, cleanses and shrink the appearance of pores, whilst its astringent properties tighten and lift the skin smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles to give a beautiful youthful glow to the skin.
  10. Camel milk: Considered a superfood, camel milk is rich in vitamin C, B1, B2, B12 and carotene, which is not only beneficial when drunk but when applied to the skin. Camel milk can be used in soaps and face masks to deeply nourish, smoothen and hydrate dry skin.

Insider Tricks To Creating A Great Wedding Video

If you have been hired to create a video of someone’s wedding and reception, it can be a really fun job. Not only is there a lot of joy, laughing and fun moments during a wedding celebration but it is really gratifying to know that the video you are creating will be part of family celebrations of these people for decades to come.

Naturally, you want to do a good job. But whether you are just getting started or have been shooting video for years, you know things can sneak up on you and make your job more difficult. So there are some “insider tricks” that you should keep in mind especially on the big day so the wedding goes off like clockwork and you get that great video without disturbing the joy and fun of the family.

Greatest Father Daughter Dance Medley Ever!

The first few precautions actually happen long before you drive up to the church and that is a thorough equipment check. Check and double check your equipment and then check it again. It can’t hurt to be a bit compulsive about this. Also, check that all of your supplies are new, in good shape and that you have back ups of batteries, bulbs, tapes or whatever recording media you are using. If you know your equipment is in good shape, you can walk in there like the professional you are.

Next, be everywhere early and well prepared. In fact, it can’t hurt to scope out the church and reception hall the day before to check the lighting and do some planning on where you might plan to get your best video from. If Martin Scorsese can preplan all of his shoots, so can you.

Now be sure everybody knows who you are. Meet the bride, groom, the wedding party and others close to the planning. If there are security people, be sure they know who you are as well. If there is a need for passes or badges of any kind, be sure you have one well ahead of the wedding day.

Part of networking with the key players includes getting some face time with others who may be supporting the wedding. Many weddings have a wedding planner who must know everything that is going to happen. Be sure he or she knows who you are and what you are going to do before you start disturbing their domain. It is also a great idea to meet the other photographers and do a bit of preliminary choreography so everybody can get their shots. Be aware that you really don’t want to do such a great job of videotaping the wedding that you damage the experience of the wedding guests. This all takes lots of planning.

If they rehearse, you rehearse. The rehearsal is one of the great missed opportunities that wedding photographers and videographers have to step through the wedding with the party and plan where you are going to be. Now secure permission to be there as you never want to surprise a nervous bride or her mother. But if they know you are working as hard as they are to get ready, they will be thrilled and you may find them giving you directions on shots they want included in the video and where they want (and don’t want) you to be at strategic moments during the wedding. This information is gold on producing a high quality video for your customers.

Image result for weddings

Once everything is ready, jump in there and enjoy the wedding right along with everyone else. You know you are ready and you like what you do so you can celebrate this big day and produce a top-notch video that will be a treasured memory for this bride and groom for many years to come.

Sharlene is a self taught designer and her 8 year daughter Tayla gave her mother the inspiration to make designs. Tayla enjoys modelling and catwalks as a hobby, but Tayla has sensory issues that go hand in hand with her Autism, so Sharlene decided to start making Tayla a few clothes.  But recently Tayla has run ideas past her mum about colours, shapes, designs and creativity.  Tayla, is a beautiful 8 year old child who has got so down about making friends, as she can’t understand why she can’t make friends. So Sharlene decided that they both need to do something together. Tayla who is only 8 years old has inspired her mother to create and design, the designs and creativity are from Tayla.
